ICAI is facing a protest from thousands of CA students and faculties due to errors in the evaluation of answer sheets of exams held in June 2019.

In many cases, it was found that ICAI has not awarded marks to students against the right answers.

The governing body of CA exams in India The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is facing a protest from thousands of CA students and faculties due to errors in the evaluation of answer sheets of exams held on June 2019, due to which #dearICAIpleasechange is trending on Twitter.

In the exams held on June 2019, many students reported that they were not allotted marks besides writing the right answers. On requests of several faculties including CA Praveen Sharma, CA Neeraj Arora, CA Sunil Sethi students are protesting in front of ICAI Bhawan ITO and demanding revaluation of answer sheets, providing answers for MCQs asked in the exams, using a pen instead of pencil to darken the answer in MCQs and many more.

It is noted that ICAI neither provide answers to MCQs asked in the exams nor allows students to take question paper with them i.e. askes students to submit question paper along with the OMR sheet. In many cases, it was found that ICAI has not awarded marks to students against the right answer in case of MCQs other than cases where questions were to be answered on OMR sheets.
